Biography

Soprano Marion Germain is a native of Quebec City. She earned her CEGEP diploma in music – musical theater profile at Cégep de Sainte-Foy in Quebec City. Marion completed her Bachelor of Music degree in classical vocal performance at the University of Montreal in the winter of 2022 under the guidance of Monique Pagé and Richard Margison. She also earned her master's degree in classical singing interpretation at UofM in the winter of 2024. Marion has also been following the teachings of the famous soprano Lyne Fortin for seven years. She has performed several roles such as Gilda, Mimì, Rosalinde, and Königin der Nacht. Marion recently sang two roles, those of Contessa di Ceprano in Rigoletto and Sechs Mädchen in Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny at the Staatsoper Stuttgart as part of their 2024 and 2025 season.

She has real strength and theatricality in her voice.  Her extension is secure and resonant.  She is very driven and strong in personality, and willing to sacrifice for her artistic development. - JACK LIVIGNI
